Sylvie Pitimbaye | Chad 

 

A financier by training and passionate about decoration, Sylvie Pitimbaye heads Noudji Décor, a small business that recycles plastic waste. The business provides innovative solutions and contributes to the protection of the environment by manufacturing decorative objects from plastic waste. To date, Sylvie has recycled more than 1,000 used tires and more than 10,000 bottles to make home furnishings and decorative objects. She has also sponsored training courses for young people, especially girls. Sylvie has a degree in Banking and Finance. She is a member of Réseau YALI Tchad, a network of young Chadian leaders who have benefited from the Young African Leaders Initiative program. She won the Sixth Kelou Digital Challenge, organized by the United Nations Population Fund and Tigo Tchad. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Sylvie plans to educate the Chadian population on the issues of pollution caused by waste and on the benefits of recycling.
